It is emerging that the COVID-19 threat is grossly overstated and over-played and multi-national lockdowns disproportionate. One of the worst-hit nations is Spain.
The conservative and king-making far-right VOX party now blame the regime of ‘turning Spain into a mortuary’ during a question and answer time in congress. Interestingly, the George Soros sponsored coalition PSOE didn’t have a persuasive reply by way of riposte.
As a consequence of the lockdown, the nation has suffered the most calamitous economic collapse since the Spanish Civil War 1936 – 1939. Social services and benefit agencies are unable to cope, people, families and children starve, and the entire nation has been closed down by a virus that is no more threatening than the common cold.
There is going to be a settling of accounts. If Pedro Sanchez, Spanish Socialist Workers Party has a brain cell he will be suffering sleepless nights.
One imagines Pablo Casado, opposition leader of the Peoples Party (PP) and Santiago Abascal (VOX) are keeping their powder dry. But, as evidence of over-reaction emerges these political heavyweights will pick their moment to strike.
Whilst Spain is still under house arrest, social services and charities are overwhelmed, Spain is out of work, its economy destroyed, and distressed Spaniards looking for vengeance. The PSOE and deputy prime minister, Pablo Iglesias, of the left-wing Unidas Podemos party are likely to find themselves in the crosshairs. The conservative – far-right opposition is building their case. They will strike when they think the timing is right.
Many nations are shrugging off the effects of the virus, downgrading it to the same status as the flu. Medical heads in many nations are coming together to put the virus into a reasonable perspective. Nations are returning to work whilst Spain is still in a vice-like lockdown. The nation’s tourist industry, second only to that of the United States, is in the mortuary too.
When the political and media exaggerations and overreaction come to light the bullshit is going to hit the fan big-time. When it does, the bollock-naked Pedro Sanchez and sidekick, Pablo Iglesias will be standing right in front of it.
The floundering leftists know that they will be held fully responsible for the disproportionate response to a virus the effects of which are hardly worse than the common cold. One imagines that they and their Socialist Worker cohorts will find it as difficult to find work as the unfortunate Spaniards will.
Will former mainstream media, press and television allies, those who fanned the flames of panic, come to their rescue? No chance, having overplayed their hand, mainstream media is clapped out too. Scores of Spanish and foreign language newspapers and periodicals have been consumed in the flames of COVID-19. Many more will go; a few will cling on but will be a shadow of what they once were.
